Review of the Jeannie Fulbright Science Courses

Hi Jeannie.  I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for answering God’s call to write the Exploring Creation curriculum. I’m a homeschool mom wrapping up my second year teaching my 7 and 5 year old children.  Science was the subject that intimidated me more than any other when we embarked on this journey.  In fact, I took high school chemistry and physics in summer school so I wouldn’t have to suffer through a whole year of confusion… science was clearly NOT my thing.

I assumed science would be the subject we would endure so I could check it off a list and nothing more.  I cannot tell you what a wonderful year we have had studying Astronomy.  It’s my kids’ favorite subject; I know this because they’re always asking for more!  Yesterday I had planned to study Uranus, but my son started begging to do Neptune too (cloud experiment Thursday!).  This morning I walked into the school room to find my son with the book open to and illustration of Pluto and the Kuiper belt and he told me that he thinks Pluto was originally part of the Kuiper belt, but was pulled into our orbit.  What a joy to tell him that we’ll get to learn if other scientists agree with him!

I showed my son the Zoology 1 book and he can’t wait to get started.  Thank you so much for opening the door for us to study the wonder of God’s creation.  Thank you for presenting the information in a way that makes it accessible and exciting to study.  What I thought would be a side note in this journey has become a wonderful centerpiece and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Hello Jeannie!  I’ve been meaning to write you for some time now.  My children and I have used your science course since my daughter was 5 and my son was 6…since the very beginning of our adventure!  We love your books.  They are so rich and have blessed our lives so much, even my husband’s, with the astounding information and the way the reader is pointed to Christ and His awe and majesty!  When my children are asked what their favorite subject is they say ,”Science.”

Hello!  I just wanted to say how much we love your Astronomy book.  My 3, 5, 8 and 11 year olds all sit around the table and listen while they color and then I ask them to tell me what they learned and their Dad stands with his chin on the ground!  Each day I ask what they know so far and then build more.  If we skip it one day they all are broken hearted.  So from a mom who does not enjoy science much and who has put off teaching it for quite sometime… THANK YOU!  It’s easy and fun to teach and we are learning so much.
