What People are Saying About These Books
I am excited to tell you that our family just finished Astronomy, and started some seeds a few weeks ago to prepare for Botany. We have learned more than I ever imagined, and we love the format! Our light hut has been such fun to check daily, and the timing for us to begin our study with the approach of Spring is a gift from God. THANK YOU for being obedient to God's call on your life to write these texts.
- Laura
My son says that Botany is the only thing he likes about school !!
-Kim
I have used your Astronomy book and am currently using your Botany book. My son devours them. Our science has blossomed since we began using your books - - for BOTH of us! Will you have the Zoology book ready for purchase next fall? We look forward to using it.
-Bette
I started using the astronomy book this last fall and although we haven't done science as often as I would like, I still LOVE it! We're starting the Space Rocks chapter today (lesson 8). One thing I really love about the curriculum is that there's little to no planning for mom. We just plop down on the couch and start reading.
We love the notebooking aspect. Even my new 5 yodd's notebook is turning out so nice!! I take pictures when we do the activities and those go into the notebooks too, so the scrapbooking is an added bonus. Plus, when we add
the photos, it's a great way to review what we studied because they journal next to the photos. Better than tests!!

First, I was a botany major in college and I have to tell you, this book impressed me--it was a great refresher course!(I had forgotten most of what I learned!)I am not easily impressed with science courses but this series wonderful and by far the best on the market.
-Kim
We started our Botany last week and my son LOVES it! I know this is going to be a big hit. He usually doesn't remember terms, but he remembered everything and could explain it all with no trouble. When I brought out the Botany book, he settled down beside me, with a sparkle in his eyes. Thanks, Jeannie, from the bottom of my heart, for this great curriculum!
- Trish
As I'm reading posts this morning, I wanted to add my dd's comment today. She -- again -- said how much she loves THIS science. I am currently using the Astronomy book with my 6yods and 10yodd.
-Cindy
Hi, everyone. We have just started the Botany book this week and love it. My dc are 8 and 6. I had looked at the books when they first came out last summer/fall, but thought maybe the kids needed to be older to really get anything out of them. So, we waited all year. What a mistake!! We are only up to the Taxonomy lesson in the first chapter and have already learned so much. I have tried to briefly explain classification to them before, but I don't think they got it at all. We had so much fun with the way it was presented in the book and trying to classify the little boy in the example. Tomorrow we are going to classify our Legos and Shoes which should be fun. Also, we were all laughing so hard at the dinner table last night trying to see how fast we could all say binomeal nomenclature. What a hoot. I don't think they will forget that phrase for awhile.
So, I guess the point I'm trying to make is that for those of you who are concerned that you children are too young, they probably aren't. My 6 yo loves it. She can't wait to make the light hut next week. Thanks so much for a great science curriculum. I'm glad I have a few years to work all of the books in before we start the Apologia books.
-Kim
I hesitantly purchased EC with Astronomy for my 6 and 12 yo...all I can say is WOW!!!! My 38 year old Husband sat down and read the ENTIRE book in one evening..even he thought it was wonderful...I thought it was wonderful..my kids think it is wonderful!!!!!! This is by far the BEST book we have ever seen, we cannot wait to get the Botany book, and the Zoology Book...
PLEASE tell us you are writing more science books!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!
-Cindy
I received our new botany book on Tuesday. I must say we are already loving it. My son begs to do just
science every day. We're working out way through the first chapter. Tomorrow should finish it up for us (I took three days - took it nice & slow). Now he is VERY impatient to make the light hut! Guess what we'll bedoing tomorrow! :-)
The best part of all this rambling....we went on a walk today & he kept finding all kinds of moss, lichen, buds...he had a great time. He brought his digital camera & took photos that will be added to his
notebook. Then later while he was outside playing, he kept bringing me "treasures" for his notebook - a
small twig with licen on it, more buds.... Very cool.
We're loving this book! Thanks so much Jeannie! We also loved the astonomy one, but I plan to do more of
the hands-on stuff & make more of a notebook this time. Woo-Hoo!
-Kim
You're doing a great job on your science books and my son loves his Botany book and can't wait to start on the new Marine biology book when it comes available!!! :-) My 12th grade daughter will be doing the older Apologia Marine Biology and he is so eager to do his book along with hers, and to be able to do some dissections. You've wrote beautiful books that are really touching the lives of children, and creating in them a love for science!!! Thanks so much for all you do.

We LOVE this science program. It is easy to implement and doesn't require much preparation. But the thing I like most of all is all the awesome things we are learning - myself included - not just about astronomy, but about our God. My dh comes home and we all want to be the first one to tell him what we have learned! It is so exciting!
The course is divided into 14 chapters. They cover the planets, sun, moon, space travel, stars and galaxies, and space rocks. The text itself is very enjoyable to read. I read aloud so that my 4yo can listen in and look at the pictures. We like the fact that there many real pictures, not just illustrations. In the beginning, the student is instructed to make a notebook to record various writing assignments. You can go to the website (address is in the book) and print out assignment pages for your notebook. There are also activities and projects in each chapter. A list of all the supplies needed for each chapter is included in the introduction. Most of the supplies are things you would have around the house, or could get pretty easily.
I have to say that this is the best science program we have used. I am so thankful to find something that glorifies God and proves creation scientifically. Oh, and as far as the age range goes, a friend of mine is using it with her 7th grader, and she doesn't think it is too easy for him.

I can only vouch for Astronomy, as it's all we've done so far. All my children have enjoyed studying this, and it has added a whole new dimension to our life. We are not finished yet (just finished the Uranus and Neptune Chapter) but have been doing it for about a year. (I had a baby in there somewhere;)) We have three children actively studying astronomy with the book and doing notebooks, ages 13, 11 and 8; and two who are absorbing the crumbs that fall from the table ages 6 and 5! I am not notebooking but I am also learning a lot. Starting with Botany I plan to make a notebook along with the children. (Anyone else do this?)
We took their astronomy notebooks to a family gathering once, to show the family what we'd been learning, and my brother-in-law, who is interested in astronomy, bought the kids a really good telescope, just because he wanted to encourage them! God is good!
Now we enjoy having occasional telescope nights where we set it up and look at things. I usually make some hot chocolate and these are special times we will always remember. My dd8 said of the night we viewed Saturn's rings, that it was her "best night ever", and I think she really meant it. Now we notice things in the sky- before we hardly looked up:( God has put such beauty and wonder up there for us to see and it is a shame more people don't worship Him by enjoying it.
We have also been able to view the phases of Venus, and we even saw Triton, Saturn's biggest moon. The craters on the moon are also awesome, and these can be seen quite well just using binoculars. Knowing about the things we are looking at makes it so much more fun.
I think astronomy is an often-neglected area of study. I personally knew next to nothing about it before these studies, and I did three sciences right to the end of high school.
Jeannie, blessings on you for making this study so accessible and doable for home schooling families! You have enabled us to worship our creator and enjoy him more.
-Emma
Yesterday we finished our light boxes, planted our seeds and just discussed pg 25-26. Every time we are reading, I feel so warm inside.
I think of Jeannie and how much time and love she has put into each and every word. We are really being blessed.
The writing is so easy to understand, you explain the hard words to the children...and it is still technical enough, that I feel as if they are really getting a solid education, without being overwhelmed.
We are narrating, writing out vocabulary and had a blast w/ dissecting our beans! I really liked how the picture of the true growing plant, was across from the bean drawing. (pg 24, 25) The labeling really helped the kids figure out, which part grew into which part! Excellent planning!!!!!
I sure wish I had found your books earlier.
I can't but help gush over our progress, so as we go, I just might keep posting.
Thank you again Jeannie!
-Karen
Hello! My children and I have so enjoyed your astronomy book this year! Thank you so much, what a blessing to find a God honoring science book covering astronomy on an elementary level. My children have learned so much. Even our preschooler who listens in and makes notebook pages with us is understanding and remembering an amazing amount of the material. She has told guests to our home about gaseous and terrestrial planets.
-Kristin
I simply wanted to tell you thank you! We have just started Exploring Creation with Astronomy and it is such a blessing after struggling (and hating) Science this past year!
Thank you!
-Cherese
I wanted to thank you for your wonderful bboks (we use all three) and share some of the experiences we have had with them.
-We use all three books throughout the year (not your original vision I realize, but it works for us)
-So far the book that has had the biggest impact on our family has been the Botany one. We had a wonderful time with it from Spring until fall. In fact just recently my youngest child ,a 5yod boy, was reminiscing about pollination from the back seat of our car. This was months after we had studied it. When we arrived home he got right down to business "creating" his own book on pollination.
We spent alot of time with it outside. In fact, one day we forgot it outside and it rained! Needless to say we have a few slightly warped pages. LOL! Since his interest is renewed, we will go to Zoology and jump to the insect section for a while since it was pollination by bees that he was talking about.
My 10 yod son recently spent some time on birds. It was great. His favorite part was the principles of flight.
I could go on and on. Your books have really blessed our family!! Keep them coming!! I love the priority you give to God and your family. That also makes you a roll model.
