I am a 24-year veteran homeschooler and the author of the #1 best-selling, multi-award-winning Apologia elementary science series, as well as many new products, curricula, and books to make your homeschool journey the best it can be.

My husband, Jeff, and I became empty nesters in 2019. All four of our children went to the University of Georgia on scholarship (Yes! Homeschooling works!) All four have graduated and moved on to careers and families of their own.

For more than 20 years, I’ve traveled the country speaking to homeschoolers at conventions, covering a plethora of topics.

I grew up in Austin, Texas, and received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. I am also a Certified Christian Life Coach and am dedicated to serving the homeschool community through my books, blog, articles, speaking engagements, and podcasts.
