Jeannie’s 2027 Speaking Topics
I am a 24-year veteran homeschooler and the author of the #1 best-selling, multi-award-winning Apologia elementary science series, as well as many new products, curricula, and books to make your homeschool journey the best it can be.
My husband, Jeff, and I became empty nesters in 2019. All four of our children went to the University of Georgia on scholarship (Yes! Homeschooling works!) All four have graduated and moved on to careers and families of their own.
For more than 20 years, I’ve traveled the country speaking to homeschoolers at conventions, covering a plethora of topics.
I grew up in Austin, Texas, and received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. I am also a Certified Christian Life Coach and am dedicated to serving the homeschool community through my books, blog, articles, speaking engagements, and podcasts.

Many parents come to Charlotte Mason looking for a better way to homeschool, but her deepest wisdom is not found in a checklist of methods. It is found in a philosophy that teaches parents how to understand the child before them, discern what truly nourishes the mind and soul, and build an education shaped by wisdom instead of pressure.
In this inspiring session, Jeannie invites parents to see the heart beneath Charlotte Mason’s practices: a vision of the child as a person, education as a life, and God Himself as the supreme Educator. Parents will leave with a richer understanding of how a living education can awaken curiosity, honor each child’s unique design, and help families create a homeschool rooted in purpose, peace, and faithful dependence on the Lord.
