Who is Jeannie Fulbright?

Who am I? Well, I was once a homeschooler just like you.

How did I get here? It’s a story of fate. You see, at the very beginning of my journey, I was given a gift. At the time, I didn’t even consider it would be so life-altering. But it was. It was everything. Unplanned and totally spur of the moment, I got roped into attending a multi-day homeschool seminar that immersed me in the Charlotte Mason methodology. And that was it.

I became dedicated to a living education for my children.

And I experienced the benefits first hand. My children's curiosity blossomed. They were self-motivated and industrious. Their academic advancement was off the charts. Their love for learning solidified into something they carried into college and career.

‍All four of our children went to the University of Georgia on scholarship. They made the Dean's List and graduated with accolades. They entered solid careers and are enjoying the fruit of the foundation we laid for a living education.

Not only is this evidence that homeschooling works. It’s proof that a Charlotte Mason education, a living education, is the richest, most beautiful education a child can receive.‍ It’s excellence without exhaustion. It’s success without strain or stress.

As a writer by trade, I saw the need for a science curriculum that ignited a child’s interest, imagination, and love for the Creator. Motivated by my own children’s hunger for knowledge, I started writing what is now the Apologia science series. Almost immediately, it became the #1 science curriculum. That’s because children thrive and love learning when it’s presented as a living book that uses the time-tested, effective methodologies of Charlotte Mason.

For almost 30 years, I have dedicated my life and ministry empowering homeschoolers to trade fear and doubt for a peaceful, living education. I've traveled throughout North America, speaking to homeschoolers at conventions, graduations, women's retreats, and conferences. I've covered a plethora of topics: God's purposes for you and your children, prayer, marriage, Charlotte Mason homeschooling, college prep, teaching science and writing, homeschooling multiple children, nature journaling, and bringing history to life.

I grew up in Austin, Texas and received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. I'm also a Certified Christian Life Coach, dedicated to serving the homeschool community through my books, my blog, my articles, my speaking, and my podcasts.

Today, I spend most of my time writing curriculum, traveling, speaking, exploring nature or doing crafts with my grandchildren.

Beyond this website, you'll find me out at conventions this spring and summer. I'll probably be near you. If not, ask your local convention coordinators to host me. I would love to come to your area.
