Believing God’s Word for our Children
As homeschool moms, believing God’s Word for our children is paramount. Being our children’s primary educator can fill us with fear and trepidation. The enormity of this responsibility overwhelms even the most faithful homeschool mom.
Yet we need not fear, for God’s Word promises great and wonderful things for our children.
The question we must ask is this: Do we believe God’s Word? Or do we believe those nagging doubts and calamitous fears?
Let’s look at some promises from the Bible that we can stand on to give confidence on those difficult days.
God thought about our children before He even created the world.
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. Ephesians 1:4
God has already purposed and planned what our children will be and do.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
God’s plans for our children are for a great and hopeful future, wherein they will prosper.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
God will lead and guide us as we raise our children and make choices for them.
For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end. Psalm 48:14
God has great plans for your little ones. Don’t let doubt and fear steal the peace, joy, and confidence God wants you to experience in your homeschooling. Place your trust in His promises for your children, believing He will prosper them in the plans He ordained before the foundation of the world.
